Urgent Fundraiser: Support Bolivian Youth Activists!

A revolution is underway in Bolivia and at the heart of it is the La Chispa (The Spark), a dynamic new organization of young workers and students.

Ever since its founding in February 2006, La Chispa has left its mark on the insurrectionary movement of the people of Bolivia for national sovereignty. (See the links below for more information about La Chispa and the current developments in Bolivia.)

La Chispa has grown rapidly in size and influence since its founding.  Nevertheless, the dire poverty in Bolivia (the poorest country in South America) means that all members of La Chispa -- though most are young students -- are obliged to work full-time to support their families, thus cutting into their ability to organize.

La Chispa has contacted Revolution Youth to help with their financial campaign to have their main leader, the 19-year-old student Monica Q. from La Paz, become a full-time organizer for the group.

The group's influence could grow exponentially if it had a full-time organizer. La Chispa refuses to accept money from the NGOs or the government -- which is why it contacted Revolution Youth and why we are contacting you.

We aim to raise a couple thousand dollars for this urgent campaign. These Bolivian youth activists need your support.

Any donation, big or small, would be much appreciated. You can donate through Paypal by clicking on the button below or you can send a check made payable to The Organizer (please specify Bolivia Fund at bottom of check) to
